From Lower School (Grades 1-5) to Middle School (Grades 6-8) and Upper School (Grades 9-12), every Scorpion follows an intentional progression of academic challenge and personal discovery. 

Our signature programs set Sage Ridge apart and enhance the educational experience.

• Outdoor Education Week: Every student, every year. Unforgettable grade-level adventures from Yosemite to Oregon that build resilience, class unity, and a love for the natural world.
• Sage Session: Two weeks of immersive, faculty-led courses where students dive into unique subjects with hands-on learning and creative challenges that spark new passions and deepen interdisciplinary thinking. 
• Senior Experience: The culmination of a Sage Ridge education: seniors complete a college-level Capstone Seminar, write and defend a 20-page research thesis, present at a public Research Symposium, and complete an internship aligned with college and career ambitions. 
• Advisory: A dedicated space for connection, support, and growth. Small, faculty-led groups meet regularly to build relationships and provide personalized academic and social-emotional guidance throughout the school year.
• Latin: The only Latin program in the region, this distinctive offering introduces all Grade 6 students to Latin for one semester—building a strong foundation in language, logic, and classical culture. After Grade 6, students choose to either continue Latin or Spanish (taught starting in 3rd grade) for their world language track.
• Cross-Divisional Community Programming: From weekly Community Meetings and all-school celebrations to shared traditions, students in Grades 1-12 connect across divisions—building school spirit and a true sense of belonging.

From differentiated instruction and executive functioning to emotional wellness and social belonging, support systems ensure students feel safe, celebrated, and prepared to thrive.

We believe a complete education includes self-expression, movement, and play. From ages 6 to 18, Scorpions explore their creativity, challenge their abilities, and find their voice. 

Visual and Performing Arts
Music, theatre, and visual arts are woven into the curriculum across divisions, with opportunities to perform, exhibit, and compete at regional and national levels. 

Athletics
Competitive sports begin in grade 5 and grow into championship-caliber teams in Middle and Upper School. Younger students grow through after-school programs like fencing and Girls on the Run.

Clubs & Activities
Lower School students explore new interests, while Middle and Upper School students shape school culture through clubs, competitions, and student-led initiatives—from robotics and student government to mock trial and Junior Classical League.
