Why Give?

Like nearly all independent schools, Sage Ridge relies on charitable contributions to enhance the educational experience, fulfill our mission to prepare curious and confident citizens, and provide flexibility within the operating budget. Like most independent schools, tuition does not cover the full cost of a Sage Ridge education. Philanthropy bridges that gap, supports bold new initiatives, and ensures access to the very best for every student.

All donations to Sage Ridge School are welcome, appreciated, and tax-deductible. There are many reasons to give and many ways to support what inspires you.

Ways To Support

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is Sage Ridge School’s top fundraising priority and the first gift we ask of our community. It supports every part of the Sage Ridge experience—academics, arts, athletics, and signature programs like Outdoor Education and Sage Session. It also provides vital resources for professional development, curriculum enhancements, and operational needs.

Hundreds of individuals, businesses, and foundations contribute to the Annual Fund annually, with gifts ranging from $10 to $100,000+. These unrestricted gifts—philanthropy in its purest form—touch every program, every classroom, and every student.

Opportunity and Teacher Funds

Each year, the Sage Ridge Gala raises funds for the Opportunity Fund and Teacher Fund-A-Need. The 2025-2026 Academic Year Gala takes place March 21, 2026, and the theme is Mystique Masquerade. To buy tickets, become a sponsor, donate items for auction, and learn more, visit here.

The Gala supports the Sage Ridge School:

Opportunity Fund: We strive to make our unparalleled education as financially accessible as possible, to all those families for whom our mission and programs are an ideal fit. Funds raised for the Opportunity Fund enable Sage Ridge School to ensure no qualified student is deterred by financial circumstances from becoming a Scorpion. Established in 2000 with support from the Nell J. Redfield Foundation and other generous donors. Since 2015, the Opportunity Fund has supported at least one new high school student per year.
Teacher Fund-A-Need: We aim to provide our teachers with the resources they need to effectively engage and educate our students. The Teacher Fund-A-Need supplements annual budgets and enables teachers to request resources that complement their existing tools. Past Fund-A-Need purchases have included greenhouse accessories, classroom science equipment, science field trips, professional development opportunities, classroom technology such as the new Promethean Boards, art display walls, and theatre production rights. These resources directly support innovative teaching and enrich student experiences across disciplines.

Capital Gifts

Capital gifts support transformative campus projects and long-term institutional priorities. From the initial gift of 40+ acres from the Nell J. Redfield Foundation to our newest addition--the E.L. Wiegand Student Activity Center-our growth has been powered by the generosity of numerous benefactors. Past campaigns have made the E.L. Wiegand Student Activity Center, Webster, and Crossbow buildings possible, fundamental to the school's growth.
